Linko Advanced Materials Honored with SEMI Award for Outstanding Contributions to Sustainability, Leading Industry Upgrade with Green Technology!

Recently, Linko Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. was awarded the prestigious "SEMI Award for Outstanding Contributions to Sustainability" by SEMI, the global semiconductor industry association. This award, established by the world-renowned SEMI International, recognizes companies that have made significant contributions to sustainability within the semiconductor industry. Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) is one of the most influential global semiconductor industry associations. It is dedicated to promoting sustainable development across the global electronics supply chain and boasts thousands of member companies spanning semiconductors, displays, photovoltaics, electronic device manufacturing, and other sectors.

Dr. Hu Dongli, a graduate of Zhejiang University who studied under Academician Yang Deren, is part of the team. Linko Advanced Materials has appointed Academician Yang Deren as its Chief Technical Consultant and has maintained deep collaboration for many years with the National Key Laboratory of Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Materials at Zhejiang University.

In recent years, Linko Advanced Materials developed the world's largest high-capacity silicon carbide (SiC) synthesis furnace. This achievement was appraised by experts organized by the Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, including specialists from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as internationally leading. This innovation has dramatically increased single-run SiC production capacity from 5 kg to 150 kg, significantly reduced the energy consumption and cost of SiC synthesis, and contributed to the rapid market price drop of SiC powder from RMB 2,000 per kg in 2020 to less than RMB 600 per kg today. This advancement has reduced carbon emissions and propelled the development of the SiC industry.
Additionally, Linko's 8/12-inch SiC resistance furnaces have achieved a power consumption reduction of 20 kW, with the 8-inch model reaching a low of just 28 kW. This saves energy, reduces carbon emissions, and has successfully passed acceptance testing for dozens of units.
Linko's 12-inch superconducting magnetic field crystal growth furnaces and 8-inch zone melting furnaces have received positive feedback from customers and secured repeat orders. Notably, the control precision of the 8-inch zone melting furnace surpasses that of imported German models, positioning it at the world-leading level.
This award not only signifies the industry's profound recognition of Linko's technological innovations and breakthroughs in the semiconductor equipment field but also serves as a full affirmation and high praise for the company's long-term commitment to driving industrial upgrading and transformation using green technology as the engine, and its active practice of sustainable development principles.
